Fall 2011.
As third-year middle school students, Itsuki and Kasumi—each in their own distinct circumstances—find themselves unsure of their future paths.
It is then that, prompted by a radio show they both secretly enjoyed listening to,
their first “missed connection” occurs.
Five years later, in 2016.
Now college students, Itsuki and Kasumi
were spending their days busily pursuing their dreams amid their respective lives.
Then, one night,
they experienced their second “missed connection,” pretending it was a coincidence.
Spring 2020.
Though the two had fulfilled their dreams as working professionals,
the COVID-19 pandemic began to rage,
and they found themselves repeatedly groping in the dark, filled with worry and uncertainty.
However, prompted by a single article that caught their eye,
the threads of fate crossed once again.
After three such near-misses, the story moves to the fall of 2025
As if to find the answers to the past 15 years,
the two are led toward their fourth reunion.
